Studio Work and Experiments

Today we went into the studio and experimented on different type of  Stop frame photography doing animations, we all worked as a group to create 3 separate scenes, we varied the props that we used which ranged from materials in the background to using a suitcase, Stepladder, and a cambo camera stand which the camera was attached to.

We used the cannon 5d, and Bowens lighting equipment to access as much light in the shot as we could.

          This would move in different rotational movements to capture different angles.
I enjoyed doing stop frame and watching it because the movements of each shot had to be so small.
The final result turned out to be quite good, but I if they moved their body a little slower they would capture the image and motion much better.

Bowens Lighting.

When you take the photos you have to take in many things;

  • You have to think about the position of the camera and the settings.
  • To be constantly aware of the the health and safety, as you are not looking after yourself because there are other people in the room.

  1. Hi
    It was the studio you went in to do your animations, can you add some of the images onto your blog to help explain what you did, etc..
    What kit, get images of these off the web, talk about what you did in more depth, etc..

    Then make these into a video in iMovie to music for all 3.
    Then work on your own versions this week, etc...you only have a few weeks left you need to do your own shoot now, write about intentions linked to influences from research, etc..
