Video recording.

This is my favourite clip of the number two because of the way it moves in a full rotation doesn't necessarily mean that the camera has to pan around it. I think that the shadow in the background works really well. I think that the lighting of this is great because it is not too dark or too light. i think if anymore light was introduced into it it would have been far too light etc.

The Filming of the ident will take place within the studio using the new flip video cameras and the footage will be edited using iMovie or Final Cut Pro. 

We have to be as creative as possible within these following limitations:

1 - We must include the number "2" within our ident and all associated props must be created to a very high standard.

2 - The ident must last for approximately 10-3- seconds and be saved as a .Mov file. Playable in quick time.

3 - The sound must be ambient in nature and appropriate for out theme, also no voiceover or any inappropriate music.

4- Our idea must be practically possible, If it isn't then our idea may fail, so as a team we must thing it through, planing is essential along with good time management. 

Research

For our research we must search other tv, film ,adverts and also youtube.

Materials: Plastic Blue Baloon Number. ''2'' Main Idea For our main idea, we have set a Baloon in the studio In front of a fan which is on a medium power toi look like its blowing in the wind.

Props Developed

The main colour theme throughout this ident is going to be blue. We will be using the colour blue which will be of the big number 2 and the sky for the background and for the rest of the miniture balloons we will be using other shades of blue. The large number 2 will be  Royal Blue.

Idea.

My idea is to make a balloon ident. I have noticed BBC TWO have already created one before but I think we could re-make it and make it better. I have an idea to buy a massive number two balloon from a card/birthday shop and buy smaller versions if they are available to buy and set them off into the sky. I imagine that it would look good being set off in a field with the blue sky in the background. However, as it is winter it will be hard to find a day that it will be nice. Also, I think it would be quite hard to set them off into the sky as if it didn't work out then we wouldn't be able to re-catch the balloons. However, we could attach a clear wiring/string to the balloons so they could go off into the sky but so we could pull them back again.
If this idea to set them off into the sky wouldn't work then my plan B is to film it in the studio and set them off in the studio. As this will be an easier option as there is a limit to how high the balloons with go so this will help us not to lose them. However, this is the second option as they can't fly up that far it won't look as good.

Our Idea

Today we went to look at the prices of how much the balloons are, I am going to compare from shop to internet.

Second Idea.

My second Idea is to make a number 2 from cardboard or soe material and stick loads of leaves on top. of it so it looks like a number two covered with attached leaves.

I would then get loads of other leaves and pile them on top of the number and around it so the number is not seen at all.

I would then get a electronical fan and blow all of the leaves away from the area which leaves us with the number two left and the leaves attached.

My idea.

My idea is to create a cardboard number 2 but without a front and back  but just the sides, my idea is to light draw inside the box by colouring in the box.

Then the end result will somehow that the number 2 is shaded in.

Improving this idea I think instead of making a cardboard silhouette we should just create a big number two by drawing the number instead of using the cardboard. the number two will be a bigger size, and then the middle shall be shaded in.

BBC2 Ident Chase new

I like this Ident because they use people involved instead of just the background I like how they make the number quite 3 dimentional as the guy actually uses it to run away and hides.
They use the number shape to its most advantage.

Introduction to Bbc Two Idents

For this assignment we have been asked to create and film a new ‘ident’ for BBC 2. 

With will be testing our visual skills, composition, use of light, colour, lenses and perspectives etc..  We also have to create a number 2 as a scale in our movie to reinforce the message.

There will be 4 of us in our group, Louisa, Kayley, Emily, Samantha.

Each group member will have a role;

Cameraman/person – DV video camera operator- Louisa 

Lighting technician – Studio lighting or ambient daylight. (and use of light meter) - Emily

Set Designer – Make use of college departments and varied resources - Samantha

Prop stylist – To source props and adjust styling during shoot -Kayley


The filming of this will take place with a Flip Video Cameras, and the footage will be edited using iMovie or Final Cut Pro.
